Gauteng weather is hard on parked cars — sun most of the year and hail when the storms come through. A steel carport with proper sheeting handles both. The structure matters more than it looks: footings, bracing and sheeting fixings are what keep a carport standing through a highveld storm.

Typical sizes
- Single: roughly 3m × 6m
- Double: roughly 6m × 6m
- Height set to clear your vehicle, usually 2.1m–2.4m

How we build your carport

Send us the space
WhatsApp a photo of where it’s going, plus rough measurements. A sketch on paper is perfectly fine.

We quote and confirm
We look at where the columns can land, how the water will run off, and whether it ties into an existing roof or stands alone. You get a price and a timeline before anything is cut.

We build it
Columns are set into concrete footings sized for the span. Roof sheeting is fixed with the correct washers at the correct spacing — the usual cause of storm damage is under-fixed sheeting, not weak steel.

Delivery and install
We deliver across Gauteng and install on site where the piece needs it.

Questions we get asked
Do I need council approval?
Possibly, depending on the size and how close it sits to your boundary. Rules differ between municipalities and estates. Check with your local council or your estate’s HOA before we build — we’ll give you the dimensions you need for the application.
Will it handle hail?
The sheeting takes hail far better than a shadeport cloth does, and the structure is designed for the load. No roof is completely hail-proof, but this is the sensible option in Gauteng.
