Custom Braai Station

Work surface, wood store and grid in one unit

Most braais give you a grid and nowhere to put anything. A braai station solves the actual problem: timber work surfaces on either side, wood stored underneath, hooks for your tongs, and a grid you can raise or lower as the coals change.

Custom braai station in steel and wood, built in Gauteng

What you can choose

  • Fixed in place, or on lockable castors
  • Grid size to suit how many people you cook for
  • Height-adjustable grid
  • Timber side tables on one or both sides
  • A warming rack above the grid
  • Tool hooks and a bottle opener welded to the frame

Typical sizes

  • 1.2m for a family
  • 1.5m–1.8m if you entertain regularly
  • Working height 900mm — comfortable to stand at

These are starting points, not a catalogue. Every piece is built to your measurements.

How we build your braai station

01

Send us the space

WhatsApp a photo of where it’s going, plus rough measurements. A sketch on paper is perfectly fine.

02

We quote and confirm

We ask how many people you usually cook for and whether it stays in one spot or moves — that decides the grid size and whether it gets wheels. You get a price and a timeline before anything is cut.

03

We build it

The firebox is built from heavier plate than the frame, since that’s the part taking the heat. Timber surfaces are kept clear of the firebox and sealed for outdoor use.

04

Delivery and install

We deliver across Gauteng and install on site where the piece needs it.

Braai Stations we’ve built

A few we’ve made recently. Yours can be a different size, timber or finish — tell us what you have in mind.

Braai stations go out all over Gauteng — Pretoria, Centurion, Midrand, Johannesburg, Boksburg and Benoni — and they’re one of our most-requested pieces. Elsewhere in the province, ask and we’ll tell you honestly whether it’s worth the trip.

Questions we get asked

Can I cook with wood as well as charcoal?

Yes — the firebox is built for both. Wood needs a bit more depth for the coals to settle, which we allow for as standard.

How far should it be from a wall?

Keep a clear gap from any wall, fence, or anything that can catch — and never use it under a low covered patio without proper ventilation. We’ll talk through placement when we quote.
