Custom Fire Pit
A proper steel fire pit with the wood stored underneath
A fire pit turns a patio into somewhere people actually sit on a winter evening. We build them from heavy steel plate — thin steel warps and burns through after a season — usually with a log store built into the base so the wood is where you need it.

What you can choose
- Square or round bowl
- Log storage built into the base
- A cooking grid or flat plate over the fire
- Size from an intimate two-seater to a large gathering pit
- Poker and tool hooks welded to the frame
Typical sizes
- 600mm suits a small patio
- 800mm is the popular size
- 900mm and up for a bigger entertainment area
These are starting points, not a catalogue. Every piece is built to your measurements.
How we build your fire pit
01
Send us the space
WhatsApp a photo of where it’s going, plus rough measurements. A sketch on paper is perfectly fine.
02
We quote and confirm
We ask about the surface it’s standing on and how much space is around it, because clearance from walls and structures matters. You get a price and a timeline before anything is cut.
03
We build it
Built from heavy plate with drainage so rainwater doesn’t sit in the bowl. Left raw to develop a patina, or finished with a high-temperature paint.
04
Delivery and install
We deliver across Gauteng and install on site where the piece needs it.
Fire Pits we’ve built
A few we’ve made recently. Yours can be a different size, timber or finish — tell us what you have in mind.

Fire pits are a winter favourite across Gauteng, delivered to Pretoria, Centurion, Midrand, Johannesburg and out to smallholdings around the province. Elsewhere in the province, ask and we’ll tell you honestly whether it’s worth the trip.
Questions we get asked
Where can I safely put it?
On a non-combustible surface — paving, concrete or gravel, never on a wooden deck or directly on a lawn you care about. Keep well clear of walls, fences, overhanging branches and anything that can catch. Never leave a fire unattended, and keep water or sand nearby.
Will it rust?
Bare steel develops a rust patina outdoors, which many people like and which does no harm to plate this thick. If you’d rather it stayed black, we finish it in high-temperature paint that you can touch up.
